Welcome

A Dallas Original

The Dallas Ginger Man was the second member of the family, and has been serving fine beer since 1992. An aspect unique to the Dallas pub is the beautiful upstairs lounge with its own bar and balcony. As do the other members of The Ginger Man family, the Dallas pub has a comfortable beer garden in back. Need a map?

We hope you enjoy this virtual visit to our pub, but it pales in comparison to actually stopping in for a refreshing pint.

New beer on draught (coming throughout the month)
BridgePort IPA - "Our flagship ale is a classic Northwest style ale crafted with a highly precise, traditional brewing process: the ale is naturally conditioned, meaning it is not force carbonated, but instead ages slowly and naturally in the cask, keg and bottle, with a double fermentation that allows the CO2 produced to be absorbed naturally into the beer. The resulting beer is creamy, rich and full-flavored, allowing the malt and hops to mingle in your mouth for a great experience. BridgePort IPA is admired and applauded for its rich, robust hoppy taste, derived from the precise combination of five different varieties of hops."

Avery 16 - "Avery Brewing Company--the Boulder, Colorado based craft-brewery known for their aggressive brews--is gearing up for the release of their annual single batch anniversary offering. The SIXTEEN Anniversary Ale, due to hit shelves in mid-May, is a product born of the spirit of experimentation and the dogged pursuit of perfection that has arisen within the walls of Avery Brewing Company. Ever on-the-prowl for new flavors and new ingredients, Avery brewers crafted SIXTEEN with a harmonious combination of jasmine, peaches and honey. These exotic flavors mix with the fruity, spicy flavors of a distinctive Belgian yeast strain into a dry and massively estery saison ale. Brewed with a malt bill of two-row barley and pale wheat, SIXTEEN is 7.9% ABV and will be available in 22oz. bombers and on draft at bars in Colorado and 32 other states across the country."

Collaboration not Litigation Ale - "Salvation. The name of two intricate Belgian-style ales, created by us - Vinnie Cilurzo of Russian River Brewing and Adam Avery of Avery Brewing. After becoming friends a few years ago, we realized that we both had a Salvation in our line-ups. Was it going to be a problem? Should one of us relinquish the rights? "Hell no!" we said. In fact, it was quickly decided that we should blend the brews to catch the best qualities of each and create an even more complex libation. In April 2004, in top-secret meeting at Russian River Brewing (well actually it was packed in the pub, and many were looking over our shoulders wondering what the hell was going on), we came up with the perfect blend of the two Salvations. Natalie, Vinnie's much more significant other, exclaimed, "We should call this Collaboration, not Litigation Ale!" "Perfect!" we shouted. We celebrated deep into the night, (or is it morning?)."

Avery Hog Heaven - "This dangerously drinkable garnet beauty is a hop lover's delight. The intense dry-hop nose and the alcohol content are
perfectly balanced for a caramel candy-like malt finish. This is a serious beer for serious beer afficianados and it only gets better with age. Cellarable for 3 years."

Brooklyn Brown Ale - "This is the award-winning original American brown ale, first brewed as a holiday specialty, and now one of our most popular beers year-round. Northern English brown ales tend to be strong and dry, while southern English brown ales are milder and sweeter. Brooklyn Brown Ale combines the best of those classic styles and then adds an American accent in the form of a firm hop character and roasty palate. A blend of six malts, some of them roasted, give this beer its deep russet-brown color and complex malt flavor, fruity, smooth and rich, with a caramel, chocolate and coffee background. Generous late hopping brings forward a nice hop aroma to complete the picture. Brooklyn Brown is full-flavored but retains a smoothness and easy drinkability that has made it one of the most popular dark beers in the Northeast."

Deschutes Red Chair IPA - Bond Street Series - "Unconventional. Uncompromising. A Deschutes original. This IPA style beer utilizes hops in a way never attempted by our brewers, evident in both aroma and flavor. The Cascade and Centennial hops are balanced by 2 types of crystal malts as well as American pale malt and German pilsner malt. The wind beneath your wings, perhaps…"

Shiner Smokehaus Helles - "Brewed with pale malt that's been smoked with native mesquite in the backyard of our little brewery in Shiner, Texas, this refreshing Helles-style beer has a smoky flavor that goes great with all the flavors of summer."

New beer in a bottle
New Belgium La Folie Wood-Aged Biere - "is our original wood-conditioned beer, resting in French Oak barrels between one and three years before being hand bottled, numbered and corked for your enjoyment. Brewmaster, Peter Bouckaert, came to us from Rodenbach – home of the fabled sour red. Our La Folie emulates the spontaneous fermentation beers of Peter’s beloved Flanders with sour apple notes, a dry effervescence, and earthy undertones."

Piraat - "is a 'living' beer, which means that after the primary fermentation in the keg, the beer also continues to evolve during the secondary fermentation in the bottle or in the keg after packaging. This is a world-class amber colored beer. American beer connoisseurs give it 98 out of 100. No other beer scores better. The flavor is so complex and so rich that every swallow conjures up new associations. Note the spicy light sweetness, which is richly balanced with the robust bitterness of the hops. It is an adventure of a beer, a treat. A strong beer like the Piraat has been brewed for a thousand years to be taken out to sea. The Vikings in particular were well acquainted with this type of potent beer. Piraat has a high nutritional value, keeps well for years and strengthens the body and morale of pirates and other seafarers. It is a healthy energy booster."

Boulevard Double Wide IPA - "We use Zeus and Magnum hops for both bittering and aroma, and Ahtanum hops solely for aroma. Two additional dry hopping regimens employ Ahtanum, Centennial and Chinook varietals. The resulting beer -- not surprisingly -- has a hop forward aroma, redolent of peach and apricot. The assertive flavor bursts forth with citrus notes of blood orange and lemon, and a caramel malt backbone serves to balance the intensity of the hops. Warning: this F4 hop storm shows no restraint -- it is not for the faint of heart!

Boulevard Long Strange Tripel - "We use Pale and Munich malts, along with some malted wheat, to produce this golden ale. The beer gains strength from the addition of dextrose in the boil. The noble varietal Styrian Goldings provides subtle hop character."

Buffalo Bill's Orange Blossom Cream Ale - "Pour Orange Blossom into a glass and enjoy the wonderful fragrance of freshly peeled orange. Take a sip and the smooth, bright flavor of an orange wedge refreshes your palate. Another uniquely refreshing seasonal summer beer from Buffalo Bill's Brewery."

Lagunitas Censored Ale - "Medium bodied, lots of caramel malt. "This ale contains no actual copper but we're pretty literal... It looked coppery, so we lamely called it a copper ale. Lots'a nice caramel malt though..."
http://greatbrewers.com/product/lagunitas-censored-ale

Deschutes Cinder Cone Red - "Cinder Cone Red's diverse selection of hops and barley captivates thirsty palates with its toffee-like flavor, intense citrus aroma and defined bitterness. Located on the northern slope of Mt. Bachelor, the Cinder Cone was also known as "Red Hill" due to its reddish color that is revealed as the seasons change, the weather warms and the snow melts. It's spring. Time to get outside."
